Fayette County School Board member chips in as classroom sub

Fayette County Board of Education member Leonard Presberg is among the many stepping up and stepping in as a substitute teacher. Presberg recently filled in as a sub for a Pre-K class at Robert J. Burch Elementary. 

Presberg has represented Post 4 on the Fayette County School Board since being appointed in December. 2011. Recently, he was the center of some controversary after summarizing the anti-mask public comment speakers during their August 23 school board meeting.

Fayette County Public Schools recently announced an increase in the pay rate for substitute teachers. As an added incentive, substitutes who work more than 40 days in a school year will have their rate increased by $20 per day.
