The Atlanta Community Food Bank will serve for Fulton County Schools families at 10 locations on April 9 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
ACFB works with over 600 nonprofits including food pantries, community kitchens, childcare centers, night shelters and senior centers—to distribute over 60 million meals to more than 755,000 people in 29 counties across metro Atlanta and north Georgia. We are partnering with schools to feed families who have lost access to school meals.
Since the global pandemic, the Food Bank helps 20+ sites across five local school districts including Atlanta Public Schools, Fulton County Schools, DeKalb County School District, Clayton County Public Schools, and Marietta City Schools. Each distribution will provide approximately 10,000 pounds of food directly into local communities and will be used to supplement the meals that are being served through school cafeterias.
Individuals can text “FINDFOOD” for responses in English or “COMIDA” for responses in Spanish to 888-976-2232.
