On Monday, Atlanta Public Schools announced that Tekeshia Hollis had been named as the new principal of David T. Howard Middle School. Pending board approval, Hollis will assume the new role on January 17, 2023. Hollis currently serves as an administrator at Sylvan Middle School in the Carver cluster.

Hollis brings 18 years of experience as an administrator to the school, including seven serving in the Midtown Cluster of schools. She has served in various roles, including teacher, instructional coach, assistant principal, and interim principal. According to information from the district, “Hollis is a dedicated leader who is focused on maximizing the potential of all students and educators. She firmly believes high expectat andwithpracticale and quality instrucion, will change students’ lives.”

In addition, meetingstings are expected to be scheduled in January 2023 to introduce Hollis to the school community.
