Incoming 11th Graders Need Proof of Meningococcal Booster Shot for Clayton County Public Schools

The Clayton County Public Schools (CCPS) Twitter page announced Thursday that students entering the 11th grade need to have proof of the meningococcal booster shot.

“REMINDER: Effective for the 2021-2022 School Year, all students entering or transferring into the 11 grade will need proof of the meningococcal booster shot (MCV4), unless their first dose was received on or after their 16th birthday.”

The post graphic also mentioned that all students entering the 7th grade must have Tdap and MCV4 shots.

With Covid vaccinations being a main topic of concern these days, it may be easy to forget the importance of having booster shots for students.

If you have any questions the post graphic says to reach out to studenthealth@clayton.k12.ga.
