Griffin-Spalding Schools to hold open house at end of July, masks optional

As the upcoming school year quickly approaches, Griffin-Spalding Schools are preparing by sharing more and more details.

This year’s open house will be held July 29 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. for all schools across the district, according to the website. This is less than a week before the first day of school, which will be Aug. 4.

Student schedules will be shared at open houses, the district said on Facebook. School supply lists specific to each classroom will be shared at the open house and universal supply lists can be found on the website.

Masks will be optional at the open house, Laura Beaber, a communication specialist for the district, said.

The district will not require masks in any capacity for the 2021-22 school year, she said.
