Gwinnett, Newton and Rockdale Health departments are offering a free vaccination clinic with various vaccines for Rockdale County students.

The clinic will offer the Tdap vaccine for incoming seventh grade students, the meningitis shot for rising 11th graders and the COVID-19 vaccine for all students aged 12 and up, according to a Facebook post from Rockdale County Schools Thursday. Students can receive their shot at Edwards Middle School on June 23 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

According to the Georgia Department of Health, in the state of Georgia, the Tdap vaccine is required for all incoming seventh graders and the meningitis vaccine is required for all incoming 11th graders as of July 1, 2021. Students can be exempt only for medical or religious reasons.

Students looking to participate in the clinic should RSVP here or here by June 21. All students under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
