Douglas County School District will offer free COVID-19 vaccinations at all five of the district’s high schools next week, the district stated in a Facebook post Wednesday.

The vaccination event, which is in partnership with Premier Drugstore and Cobb Douglas Public Health, will run from Monday through June 23, according to the Facebook post. Shots are available to Douglas County School District employees and students aged 12 and older.

On Monday, shots will be available at Lithia Springs High School from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and New Manchester High School from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. according to the district’s website. Vaccines will be offered June 22 at Alexander High School from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and Chapel Hill High school from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. On June 23, shots will be offered at Douglas County High School from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. 

All shots will be administered in each school’s respective gymnasium, according to Douglas County School District’s website. The second dose of the vaccine will be given in the same location as the first.

According to the district’s website, no appointment is necessary for students and staff members, and no information is immediately available regarding the type of vaccine being administered.
