DeKalb County Schools (DCSD) announced on Twitter Wednesday, that the district will host a Back-To-School Drive-Thru event at three different locations on July 31, from 11 a.m. to 2 pm.

“DCSD will host its Back-To-School Drive-Thru event on July 31, 2021, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at three locations: Buck Godfrey Stadium in Decatur, James R. Hallford Stadium in Clarkson, and North DeKalb Stadium in Chamblee. More info: #DCSDBack2School”

The event will have vendor resources, food distribution, school supplies, and grab-and-go refreshments, according to the event poster.

From 8 a.m. to noon it seems that Covid vaccinations will also be available, however, the DCSD website notes that you do not have to get a vaccination in order to get food or school supplies. The site also notes that parents will need to provide proof of student registration in order to receive supplies.

“* No requirement to get a vaccination in order to get Food or School Supplies. | *Rain or Shine

*To receive school supplies, parents must provide proof of student registration through Infinite Campus on their mobile device or a registration printout”

The Covid vaccination process is headed by the DeKalb County Board of Health.
