The Georgia High School Association (GHSA) has adjusted the football playoff schedule due to significant damage caused by Hurricane Helene in parts of the state.

The regular season, initially set to end on November 1st, will now conclude on November 8th, allowing schools impacted by the hurricane to make up missed games.

The opening round of the state playoffs has been pushed to November 15th and 16th, while the quarterfinals, scheduled initially as a bye week on November 29th, will now occur. Importantly, the semi-finals and finals, set for December 6th and December 16-18, respectively, will remain unchanged.

Schools unaffected by the hurricane will have an open week before starting postseason play.
