The Lexington-Fayette County Health Department will have free COVID-19 vaccination clinics this week, Fayette County Public Schools stated in a Facebook post Monday.
The clinics will run Wednesday and Thursday and each will offer a different COVID-19 vaccine, according to the health department’s website.
The Moderna vaccine, which is available to people aged 18 and older, will be available Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m at Consolidated Baptist Church. The Pfizer vaccine, which is the only vaccine available to children aged 12 and up, will be available Wednesday from 1 to 3 p.m at the same location. The Johnson & Johnson vaccine will be available Thursday from 1 to 3 p.m. at St. Peter Clover Catholic Church.
According to the Facebook post, the Pfizer and Moderna shots are available every Monday in the health department’s public health clinic by same-day appointment. Appointments can be scheduled by calling 859-288-2483.
The COVID-19 vaccination is free and no insurance is necessary to receive the shot.
